Holly LaVine - Founder

Holly LaVine has 19 years of experience in individualized remediation, multisensory teaching, and diagnostic evaluations both privately and in the public schools. She also has engaged in advocacy, teacher education, and designing remedial materials. Apart from earning a Master’s Degree in Learning Disabilities from the Rivier University in 2001, she also completed several levels of Scottish Rite Orton-Gillingham training program between 2003 and 2016. She is an avid and lifelong learner and teacher.


Holly taught at the elementary school level as a special educator for five years, specializing in Learning Disabilities, as a reading/writing specialist for two years, specializing in literacy coaching and as a regular classroom teacher for nine years at the third grade and Kindergarten levels. She is a certified educator in the State of New Hampshire in Elementary Education, General Special Education, Learning Disabilities, Reading/Writing Specialist and English Language Learners. Her most recent assignment has been working with high school students in an English Language Learner setting.


For twelve years, she worked as a tutor with dyslexic students of all ages for a non-profit corporation. She completed accredited training programs under the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC) and the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing® (LiPS®) program.


Holly is recognized by the Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA) as a Certified Academic Language Therapist and as an Instructor of Certified Academic Language Practitioners. Additionally, she received an English Language Learners (ELL) certification from the University of New Hampshire in 2015. Holly is also a contracted dyslexia diagnostician for the Counseling Center of Nashua, NH. She performs psycho-educational evaluations and provides feedback to families.


In her spare time, she is an exercise enthusiast and she teaches cycling and Pilates/Yoga classes at the Nashua YMCA. She also teaches an introductory special education course at Manchester Community College in the Teacher Education department which addresses Learner Exceptionality. She is the proud mother of three grown children ages 28, 26, and 22.

Angelica LaVine 

M.S., CCC-SLP, CALP

Angelica is an ASHA-certified and licensed speech-language pathologist. She graduated from Worcester State University's Speech-Language Pathology program in December of 2016. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Emerson College in 2014.


Angelica has also obtained her certification as a dyslexia practitioner in the Orton-Gillingham methodology, following a year-long program of study and supervised practicum of tutoring children with dyslexia. She has received additional training in the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing (LiPS) program, Visualizing and Verbalizing for oral and written language comprehension, PROMPT for apraxia therapy, PECS for augmentative/alternative communication, and Lively Letters for phonics instruction.


 Angelica has a passion for testing and prescribing the proper language therapy based on evaluation results. She is a skilled and reflective clinician who takes her role as evaluator and therapist very seriously, but also greatly enjoys working with students of all ages.

Rose Wild

OTR/L, CALP

Rose Wild is an Occupational Therapist, IMSLEC Certified Advanced Orton-Gillingham tutor and Certified Academic Language Practitioner. Rose has also obtained additional training in handwriting and holds a strong appreciation for its integral association with reading, writing and spelling. She has been tutoring students using the Orton-Gillingham method since 2003. 


Rose is also co-owner of Click for Literacy, and a contributing author of its products, ArticuLIST and ArticuLIST Morphs. Click is an augmentive teaching tool for reading instruction using the Orton-Gillingham method. As an Occupational Therapist with over 37 years of experience, Rose is able to incorporate many of the tenets of that profession in her work with students as well.

Colleen Baker

Colleen is a certified Orton-Gillingham Reading Teacher. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the George Washington University and holds a Masters Degree in Education from Regis University in Denver, CO. In addition, she has a Certificate in Early Childhood Reading Instruction from the University of Colorado.


Presently, Colleen teaches preschool part-time. She is a former first grade teacher and used to be a volunteer tutor for the Children’s Literacy Center of Colorado. Colleen has also been tutoring students privately for years.

Morgan Delapena

M.Ed.

Morgan Delapena has 3 years teaching experience and has been a personal tutor for 7 years, including tutoring college level calculus for 4 years. Morgan has a B.A. in Elementary Education (K-6) and a M.Ed. in STEM Education from High Point University.


Morgan is currently a math teacher (grades 6-8) at Pennichuck Middle School in Nashua, NH and works with students at all levels, with a wide range of mathematical, emotional, and developmental needs.

Morgan loves working with children of all ages and believes that connecting with students and their families, as well as building a child’s personal confidence is at the core of mathematical success. Morgan is willing to work with families to provide a multitude of approaches that can help students comprehend material.


Morgan has extensive training in Lego Education® for mathematics, science and robotics. This contributes to her knowledge of hands on learning in mathematics which is proven to be helpful for visual and kinesthetic learners.

Jill M. Mainey

BS

Jill M. Mainey, BS, is an OG certified dyslexia practitioner who studied in an IMSLEC based course and who completed a 100 hour practicum in 2006. She is also a graduate of Salem State University. 


Jill has had extensive education experience working in both school and home settings for more than 18 years. She has been actively tutoring children with dyslexia in both settings. Jill will be working towards her master’s degree as a Dyslexia Specialist in the spring of 2019.


Jill enjoys working with children and her energetic personality creates a positive environment for their academic success. Jill believes that establishing a solid connection with students and their families is important for student success. Jill resides in Merrimack, NH with her husband and two sons. She enjoys walking, and spending time watching her boys play baseball.

Julie Verran-Rice

M.Ed.

Julie is a certified teacher with over 20 years of experience working with students of many ages, backgrounds and abilities in a variety of settings. She received her B.A. in French at the University of New Hampshire, studied a semester at the Sorbonne University, and obtained her teaching certification in Secondary French. 


She received her Master’s degree from UNH in Elementary Education with certifications in Elementary Education, ESL K-12, and Secondary English. She has taught first grade and elementary ESL and she has been a one on one tutor for many agencies. She has worked as a Reading and Math Interventionist and has been trained in programs by Lindamood Bell, Wilson Reading Systems, Project Read, Everyday Math, Math Their Way, and Do The Math.


She finds great reward in working with students one on one, finding common interests, building a trusting relationship, and helping them succeed by overcoming their fears, building their confidence, and getting them interested and motivated in the subjects they are studying. She enjoys helping them find what they are passionate about and planning their future academic and career goals. She is friendly, patient, and approachable and caters her lessons to each individual, depending on their needs and learning style. Julie lives in Merrimack with her husband. She has a daughter and three grandchildren.

Haley DeDonato

M.Ed., CALP

Haley is a NH certified Special Education teacher. She studied her undergrad at Curry College and received a bachelors degree in educational psychology. Shortly after Haley attended Rivier University and received her Masters in Special Education. Since graduation Haley has worked as an elementary case manager. She provides specialized instruction in reading, writing, math, and behavior management.


Haley has completed the classroom hours and practicum hours necessary to become an Orton Gillingham Tutor.


Haley also has received training in Fundations, Wilson Reading Program, LLI and Multi- Sensory Math Instruction.

When Haley is not working or tutoring she is enjoying time with her husband and two Labrador Retrievers.
